People Places and Things: What They Don't Tell You

This is a blog filled with the ramblings of a 20 year old student about my thoughts on not only college but life itself. Feel free to talk to me/argue with me/prove me wrong/or just ask me anything.

Anonymous asked: I'm going to be a freshman in college and I'm nervous about meeting my roommate. Everyone says to just go in random, but I met this girl that seems really cool. Should I room with her or just take my chances?

Roommates are always tough especially Freshman year because you’re transitioning into a whole different life because you’re living with someone you’ve never met (a stranger) and you’re expected to coincide without question, oh yeah and shower shoes.

But to answer your question I think that if you girl-flirted your way into finding a roommate, and you think you guys can click, I say go for it. Living with someone random can be even more nerve-wracking because you can’t coordinate what each person should bring or lets be real, cyber stalk.

At the end of the day the decision is yours but remember that college is your time so base your decision off of what makes you comfortable and what you think will make your first year of college as memorable as it can be. Good luck!
